	Home of the Catawba Military Gaming Society - Charlotte, NC

The CatawbaGamers is a group of historical miniature wargamers in the Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas who get together approximately once per month to do battle on the tabletop. We cover just about every historical time period you can think of. There's no fee to join, just come on in and let's roll the dice!

While many of our gamers like to get together for "impromptu games" at other times, we officially get together on the 3rd Saturday of each month at Parker, Banner, Kent, & Wayne in Cornelius (just outside of Charlotte on I-77) at 1:00. 28mm Franco Prussian War

Join us as Charles Kadlec brings us a 28mm Franco Prussian game of "Chassepot and Needlegun". It is Aug.16, 1870 at the Battle of Mars-la-Tour. This battle should have been a crushing French victory. The "Death Ride" of Prussian heavy cavalry (often compared to the Charge of the Light Brigade)bought time for the outnumbered and low on ammunition Prussians to receive reinforcements, while Marshal Bazaine did not direct the battle, giving orders to individual regiments while ignoring his army corps commanders.
